Bag made from plarn

I just finished crocheting my second bag but this time I used yellow and brown plarn to make it.  I started out with yellow plarn then added some brown and finished it off with yellow. I think it came out nicely done.  To close it, I sewed a green button in the middle.  I think crocheting a bag out of plarn is easy and fun and it saves the environment. Plarn is made of plastic bags.

This is the finished project. I think it looks great.  I am planning on making more. With plarn and other kinds of yarn.

I also finished this pillow today.  Instead of stuffing it with stuffing, I stuffed this pillow with leftovers of my plarn.

My first crocheted yellow bag

I decided that I wanted to learn how to crochet bags. So here is my first try at making one.  It's not perfect but I love it.  Below is the pattern that I used. I have never written down patterns for other people. So I hope you can read and understand what I wrote.

Chain 40 then slip knot the two ends.
Chain 2
R1- DS until you get to the end then slip knot the ends.
Chain 2
R2- HDC every 2 stitches then DC in the next two stitches but in the front of the post and do the same all the way around until you reach the end. Then slip knot the two ends.
R3- R10- Repeat R2.
Then when you are done, sew the bottom together by slip stitching.

You can add any kind of handle you want.

Pink Beret

I love to crochet and I love wearing hats.  So in less in two hours, I made myself

a pink beret.  Someday, I want to make all my hats that I wear.  Do you have dreams,

my dream is one day to sell my homemade items.

Crocheting with Plarn

Do you love to crochet, knit or weave?  Are you out of yarn or just want to try something different?  Then you need to try this project.  It is crocheting, knitting or weaving with plarn.  Plarn is made of any type of plastic bags.  You crochet, knit or weave it like you would yarn.  It is a great way to recycle those unwanted plastic shopping bags that you don't want and it saves the environment.  There are many things you can do with plarn but for me, I am using my shopping bags and making a mat for the homeless.  Here is a finished mat that my friend made.

Here are the instructions of how to make the plarn.  These finished mats even have straps so you can carry it over your shoulder.  I am crocheting my first mat and it is only 10 inches long.
